Let’s raise each other up!

After our “Ten things to NOT say to Indigenous employees” series, I am pleased to present the “good news” stories. Despite the negative experiences I have endured, they do not define me. I am absolutely committed to spreading positivity and helping our clients achieve their goals. My daily life is full of affirmation that I’m doing the right thing.

Join me in sharing the positive stories in your business. Let’s raise each other up!

COVID-19 has changed HOW we are doing things. Technology, and our team, have created new ways of achieving even more. Here’s some of the fun we are having as project managers;

  • Kehewin Cree Nation K-12 School is complete, and we are adding some additional features as we are under budget.
  • Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation 6 – 12 School is nearing completion in a beautiful location on the shore of Lac Ste. Anne.
  • We are completing the feasibility and pre-design reports of fifteen projects at Lubicon Lake Band and moving into the selection of design consultants.
  • As project managers, we arranged for financing on the Peepeekisis Community Centre in southern Saskatchewan, which is just starting construction.
  • The success of the last few years has been based on hard work, great clients, pursuing the right projects, and working closely with Scout Engineering, Associated Engineering, Manasc Isaac Architects, Stantec, Wood, and SNC Lavalin. We are very grateful for these collaborations.

These projects are much needed and beautifully reflect the culture of the communities. Many other projects are starting with great energy, and they remind me of the optimism of spring I felt as a kid on a Saskatchewan farm. They will grow into great projects as well.

That’s my life. Nothing but sunshine and rain when we need it. As we strive to be humble entrepreneurs, we believe we have the best clients, and they have graciously welcomed us into their communities.

So, please share your stories. Brag a little.
