Today I recorded a seventeen-minute presentation for the University of Alberta International Week Global Goals Talks from February 1st to 6th. Anyone can register to view the seventeen presentations about each of the seventeen United Nations Sustainability Development Goals. My presentation examines how we achieve decent work and economic growth for indigenous communities on our projects. We at Bosgoed Projects are excited and honored to be a part of this notable endeavour.
Also, beginning next week, we will begin a new series entitled “Ten things NOT do to with Indigenous employees.” I will be examining common mistakes to outright missteps, such as well intentioned but downright awkward statements that can damage any professional relationship. As usual, we are interested in hearing your own experiences regarding this very important issue. What have you seen and heard? We’d love to include your experiences in our upcoming series!
